iPhone Duo is Apple’s first ever foldable phone. Unveiled in Apple Park on September 9, 2026, the iPhone Duo sports a book-style foldable design, combining structural titanium luxury with re-engineered dual-display productivity. Available in passport-sized convenience and iPad-like unfolded versatility, the iPhone Duo enters the foldable fray alongside the iPhone 18 Pro lineup.

iPhone Duo Design and Revolutionary Twin Displays

• Dual Screens and Foldable Convenience: When folded, the iPhone Duo has a 5.4-inch outer display with a familiar compact phone appearance. The phone opens up into a 7.6-inch inner display with a screen area 50 percent larger than the iPhone 18 Pro Max.
• Minimised Reflections and Hinge: Made of ten ultra-thin layers of specially treated material, the inner display has a nano-textured matte finish to cut down on glare. Additionally, the central hinge in the folded phone has been minimised both in appearance and feel. 
• Hidden Camera and Face Time: The 7.6-inch inner display also features an under-display FaceTime camera, which is completely hidden while watching videos or playing games and appears only when initiating a FaceTime call. 
• Touch ID and Premium Finish: The iPhone Duo does not have Face ID. Instead, there is a Touch ID sensor built into the side button, which can be used with either the phone folded or open. Furthermore, the iPhone Duo’s titanium frame has a precision-finished mirror gloss. 

A20 Pro Performance and Reimagined Multitasking

• Supercharged by Vapor-Cooled Processor: The powerful A20 Pro 2-nanometer chip and 12 Gigabytes of RAM are supported by an internal vapor chamber to keep the iPhone Duo cool while switching between windows running different tasks. 
• iOS 27 Foldable Layouts: iOS 27 has been reworked to provide a unique experience on the iPhone Duo’s dual-screen platform. As a result, you can drag-and-drop content between apps or split the screen to place app windows side by side. Moreover, you can store your preferred set of apps opened on the iPhone Duo so that tapping any of them instantly launches it in a window. 
• Poseable Standby and Laptop Mode: With an ultra-thin hinge consisting of more than 100 carefully tuned parts, the iPhone Duo also serves as a laptop stand. Open the phone at different angles to position it as a hands-free stand for watching videos or as a larger keyboard for typing-intensive tasks. Alternatively, place the iPhone Duo on a desk to use it as a clock or calendar by opening it to a specific angle. 
• Apple Pencil Support: The inner display also supports Apple Pencil (USB-C) so that you can turn the iPhone Duo into a portable drawing tablet. 

Dual Fusion Cameras

• Dual 48MP Main Camera: Unlike the 18 Pro’s triple-stack design, the iPhone Duo’s main camera has a single 48-megapixel Fusion sensor. Additionally, there is a 48-megapixel ultra-wide camera that also has macro-tracking capability. The camera offers up to 2x optical-quality zoom by cropping the image from the main sensor.
• Folding Viewfinder: The 5.4-inch outer display acts as the second viewfinder on the iPhone Duo. As a result, it becomes easier to take selfies using the powerful 48-megapixel main camera or show a subject what they will see when taking a photo of them.
• Smart Take and Kid Cue: Using both 16-core Neural Engine cores, the Smart Take feature can automatically capture a picture once everyone in the frame has been positioned correctly. Moreover, Kid Cue can display fun Peanuts animated faces on the outer display to engage children in taking a photo. 

India Pricing, Color Options and Pre-Order Date

• eSIM-Exclusive Availability: The iPhone Duo does not have a SIM card slot. Instead, the device uses the latest eSIM standard. Therefore, local SIM card carriers will not be able to resell the iPhone Duo as a physical SIM phone.
• iPhone Duo Colour Options, Pricing and Launch Date: In India, the iPhone Duo will be available in two premium colours: Star White and Night Sky. Moreover, pre-orders for the iPhone Duo in India will officially begin on Friday, October 16, 2026. As a result, the device will be available in Indian stores and for home delivery on Friday, October 23, 2026.
